International Pilates teacher and Slings Myofascial Training® Practitioner, Anneke Kruger, will be joining us online throughout August to host another in our series of NIZUC at Home virtual wellness residencies, designed to provide your mind and body with some well needed escapism, renewal and focus. Anneke’s approach to teaching is one with functionality at heart; her classes are often energetic and aim to build strength through flowing functional movement. She has a passion for mindful movement and its effects on physical and mental wellbeing.
Anneke has recorded two mindful movement exercise sequences for NIZUC on the themes of Vitality and Calm, which we will share over the coming weeks. All the exercises are from Slings Myofascial Training®, a holistic body-minded movement concept influenced by Pilates and Yoga. The term Slings refer to internal connections of muscles and fascia that connect us from feet to head and hands to body. These continuities (Slings), balance our posture, modulate movement, and influence our perception. To close her residency, Anneke will be hosting a live hour-long class on Wednesday 26 August at 8am CDT/9am EDT/2pm BST, streamed through NIZUC’s Instagram account.
