From September 17-20, the spectacular NIZUC Resort & Spa welcomed the contestants of Miss USA 2021, who, for the first time, had the natural beauties of the Mexican Caribbean as the setting for their preparation toward the grand finale of the contest, which will be held on November 29 in Oklahoma, United States.
The 51 contestants participated in multiple activities and entertaining training sessions in preparation to obtain the maximum crown of beauty pageant. The exclusive luxury resort, awarded for the fourth consecutive year with the AAA Five Diamonds, was chosen by the Organizing Committee of the 70th edition of the iconic beauty contest, so that the representatives of the 50 states and the District of Columbia could conclude their preparation prior to the pageant that will choose the successor of the current Miss USA 2020 Asya Branch.
On the first night, Terraza A-Kan hosted welcome cocktails, reuniting the 51 candidates and Miss USA Asya Branch. During the cocktail party, the ladies experienced the official inauguration of MIA Beaute Med Spa at NIZUC Spa by Antonio Cosío and Phi Nguyen Md. They then attended a welcome dinner by the NIZUC beach, which opened with a Mayan Xaman ceremony for prosperity and good energy, concluding the evening with a live Mariachi performance.
The second night was magical, with a beautiful set up at LA PUNTA and a bonfire by the beach. The entertainment started with a solo violin performance, followed by an appearance from Miss Universe 2021 Andrea Meza, the third representative of Mexico to obtain the maximum beauty title, who later joined for dinner. After the first course, a fire show took place by the beach and the night ended with a fantastic drone light show.
During their stay, the candidates had swimsuit photo sessions and recorded content and promotional videos on the lush 29-acre nature preserve, surrounded by some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery. All contestants immensely relished their time at NIZUC Resort & Spa; they were so grateful for the invitation and enjoyed the suites, views, friendly staff, the natural surroundings, and activities such as sushi classes, paddle yoga, and spa treatments.
