The Beaujolais Nouveau Festival Celebration at NIZUC Resort & Spa
In France and around the world, there is a celebration of the 2016 Beaujolais Nouveau. At NIZUC, the Executive Chef Sylvain Desbois organized an open-air dinner “A la bonne franquette” style with a community table where the attendees could meet and share a typical menu of this Festival.
Salads, foie gras, a variety of cheeses and bread, and entrees were on the menu. For the main course a “Boeuf a la Bourgignon” was served in iron casseroles and accompanied with mashed potatoes. For the dessert a sample of the most emblematic French traditions were offered including a mini eclair presented by Chef Sylvain with some anecdotes.
The wine, of course, was Beaujolais Nouveau 2016 of the house of Georges Duboeuf. The delicious young brought in exclusively from France was poured throughout dinner while guests enjoyed an extraordinary outdoor view of the Carebbean Sea under the twinkle of the overhead festive string lights.
