Imagine an evening under the stars with amazing company, amazing music and, best of all, amazing food. This is NIZUC’s yearly Black Carpet event. Every year since NIZUC’s inception, we have held our Black Carpet celebration to honor the loyal patrons of the culinary community. An evening to remember, Black Carpet brings guests together to try new gastronomy trends as interpreted by NIZUC’s international culinary team.
At this year’s event, held on the hotel’s secluded beach, the Head Chefs from five of our six amazing restaurants reached a new level of excellence under the guidance of the hotel’s Executive Chef, Sylvain Desbois. Guests spent the evening enjoying an open menu from every restaurant, including two new original dishes each.
In addition to the culinary exploration, live musical entertainment was provided throughout the evening by several jazz and contemporary artists from the popular Havana Lounge. In between dishes, local performers recreated the ancient elements of nature, including earth, water, air and fire.
In an epic conclusion to the night, Pastry Chef Nicolás Oviedo and his team entered center stage accompanied by the electric violin cords of Maestro Arlindo Silva. In mere minutes, the team carved the NIZUC logo out of a shapeless block of ice while guests enjoyed original desserts by Chef Nicolás.
As the final farewell, the sky and sea were illuminated by fireworks, marking the end of the event. We hope you can join us for this magical night next year.
